The footsteps of the Ikakage echoed as the sunlight faded behind the darkness. The night was approaching. But this female didn't stop as she walked through the street. She loosened the white Kage robe and threw it off as her pace quickened to a run.

Her dark clothes blended with the coming night. She shivered. A silent tear dripped to the ground. She was going to end her nightmares. One way or another!

Her tears stopped just as suddenly as they had started. She lashed out against one of the rocks making it crumble. Nearly loosing her balance she climbed higher. She would find a way to sort this out. Her black hair blew about in the wind. Her lips were dry and her eyes more so.

Memories flashed before her in the blinding lightning as a storm began. Images of her fathers death. The fights her brother had been in. And lastly her fight with Duo. Tears streamed again. She had no idea where from. But they wouldn't stop.

She shook her head and pulled herself up to the top. Her hands reached the mountains summit. She pulled herself up. She knelt there panting looking down at the puddle of rain made by her soaking body. She punched the center of the puddle and looked up. Her eyes aflame with a new passion. From deep inside her.
And now I stand here unafraid.

She stood up and turned around. she cast her silver eyes down onto the newly rebuilt village and smiled. She'd done this. She'd brought a village back to it's former glory. And for that. She was proud. She turned away from the village and faced what lay ahead.

Her mind cleared as she stepped forward. This was it. It was all over. Her smile faded as the thunder raged over head. She looked up to the heavens above and cried out one word. A word she hadn't uttered in more than 10 years.
"Home!" She closed her eyes. And opening them was granted with the vision she wished.
She saw the village. All the familiar faces of the people. She saw the mountain. Her home. Tears of joy filled her eyes as she took another step forward.

Energy crackled from the lightning. A botl struck her. She shook with the poweer and fell to her knees. Images of her parents. The past she had been to young to remember flashed in her mind. She screamed. It had been her all along. Her fault. Everything was because of her. She clenched her fist and stood up weakened.

She walked on her sound headband cascaded from her hand and hit the ground with a clatter. She walked to the other edge of the mountain and looked down.
"Farewell. My friends. I promise to not rest until your all safe. I am the Shadow Princess. The true heir. And your true guardian!" She said as she dived off the side.
In mid jump she disappeared. Would she ever return? Only time could tell. It was 4am.....and across town a blond male woke with a start. Knowing he'd lost his love again.
