Prologue
The rain pattered against the window pane. The young boys dull grey eyes watched each raindrop as though it was the source of his very exsistance. A door closed softly behind him. He turned his head slowly and watched silently as a tall female walked in and perched on the edge of the chair next to him.
"How long?" She whispered finally.
"Four months.. They'll find us then." The grey eyed boy said as he stood up and held his hand out for the female.
Her dark blue eyes met with his and she took the hand that he held out. Nothing else was said until his lips locked with hers.
"I promise. They'll come back to us." He breathed into the kiss as his left hand toyed with her soft auburn hair. She smiled and rested her head against him,
"We've waited too long Aldous. I was beginning to worry..."
"It'll be over soon Amarantha. I promise." Aldous smiled as he kissed her head.
